Description

Cholesteryl chloride is a cholesterol derivative in which chlorine atoms have been introduced into the hydroxyl groups of cholesterol, and is a special lipid raw material with unique liquid crystal properties. Because it exhibits reversible phase transition, it is used in special formulations that utilize its temperature-sensitive and light-modulating properties, and is also attracting attention as an ingredient that creates visual effects. By using it alone or in combination with other cholesteryl derivatives, it can also be used as a material to achieve color-changing formulations and pearlescent effects.
